Assembly Republicans Elect New Assistant Leader

Las Vegas, NV- During a Caucus meeting Monday evening Assembly Republicans unanimously elected Assemblyman Paul Anderson (R-Las Vegas) as their new Assistant Leader.  Assemblyman Anderson replaces Assemblyman Cresent Hardy (R-Mesquite) who chose to step away from his leadership post to focus on running for Congress in Nevada’s fourth congressional district.

Assemblyman Anderson was previously the Assembly Republican Caucus Political Director, coordinating the development and implementation of the State Assembly Republicans 2014 election strategy.

Following the vote Assemblyman Anderson stated, “Assembly Hardy has left big shoes to fill.  I am grateful for the support of my fellow Assembly members and honored to serve. The outlook is bright for Nevada and together we can be a unified voice for solutions that provide growth and opportunity to the people of Nevada.”
